BLOC are in the final stages of completing the ground floor concrete slab of The Store, Newcastle.
Over the coming months the podium structure will emerge together with the prominent brick archways along Hunter Street taking shape. The second tower crane will then be erected to enable the construction of the residential floors which will reach 90 meters.
To date, we have installed 115 steel-reinforced concrete foundation piles down to bedrock which is up to 48 meters below ground.
The superstructure when complete will include
approx. 19,200 cubic meters of concrete and 2,200 tonnes
of reinforced steel.
Upon completion The Store will be the tallest residential building
in NSW outside of Sydney.
