Welcome to Lume by Doma. Lume stands apart as a unique urban location where the laid back Hunter River meets the bustle of Newcastle’s dynamic CBD. You’ll be transported by the huge transformation that Honeysuckle foreshore has undergone from an industrial hub to a vibrant liveable foreshore precinct. Lume’s unique building form takes reference from the sweeping curves of the coastline to create a sculptural object that orientates views and references its context.
Clad with bagged brick the building texture gives it a domestic feel while contrasting turquoise glazed brick references the water upon which it stands and responds to the urban realm. Not only will Lume residents enjoy the convenience of the building’s own retail development but will also find themselves surrounded by cafes, boutique shops, local amenities and just a short walk to Newcastle’s planned transport hub that will connect residents directly to Sydney and the local beaches.

TEXTURE, GEOMETRY AND A PLAY OF LIGHT
As with every element of Lume, the interiors respond to the coastal location - though you won’t be reminded of a typical beach house. The response is far more sophisticated. It’s textural and geometric with colour palettes that celebrate the fresh coastal light contrasted with richer, more dramatic moments. Key elements of the interiors include timber floors, timber veneer, white painted joinery and the soft curved edges of the natural stone benchtops that reflect the building’s geometry. The bathrooms have a sense of light and warmth with fine timber framed mirror cabinets, feature wall lights and gently textured wall tiles. Lume provides a choice of two colour schemes. Choose a soft light scheme, and you’ll own a white backdrop accented with warm tones or indulge in a darker scheme with a rich palette of darker timber joinery and textured finishes. Lume will provide a contemporary, considered retreat for the lifestyle that you’ve chosen.
