Construction has been completed on the second building planned for the former ‘Store’ site with the 6 Stewart Avenue Office certified for occupation, tenants will begin to move in later this month. The first stage, the Newcastle Bus Interchange was completed and handed over in July last year.
“It is very exciting to see this project finished and about to come to life as local workers begin to move in over coming weeks,” DOMA Development Manager, Sean Kearney said.

DOMA has designed and is constructing an integrated development on the site which will include two residential towers, commercial and retail spaces consistent with the vision set out in the Newcastle Urban Renewal Strategy.
The 15,000sqm office building at 6 Stewart Avenue is now Newcastle’s largest PCA ‘A’-Grade office building and becomes the market benchmark for quality.
Designed by Bates Smart the office building is targeting a 5-star NABER Energy Rating, 4-star Water Rating and 5-star Design and As-Built Greenstar Rating.

The office building at 6 Stewart Avenue includes an integrated fit-out for its NSW Government tenant on levels one to seven, totalling approximately 9,400m2 NLA and the balance of space is being marketed through Colliers.
Retail tenants who have leased space on the ground floor of this building include a well-known local café operator, which will provide a warmly welcomed additional quality food and beverage offering to the growing population of office workers and residents in the Newcastle West and Wickham area.
